Friday 17th December - Sunday 19th December [ Canberra ]
We left Melbourne and headed inland to Australia's capital, Canberra. A lot of people had said there's not much there, but we'd decided to go and see it anyway.
There wasn't that much to do, but we liked the place. We had a look at the parliament buildings and also the Aboriginal Tent Embassy, which has stood on the grounds in front of the parliament house for 27 years.
After spending an hour or so in the shopping mall, we set off for the 300Km journey to John and Laraine's in Sydney.
Sunday 19th December - Wednesday 22nd December [ John and Laraine's - Heathcote, Sydney ]
It didn't feel like 2 months since we'd stayed with John and Laraine's. How time flies!
We had a great time with them again and they looked after us so well.
John had an extensive camera collection and Julie decided she'd like an SLR camera. We went out to the camera shop with John, who picked out a great camera. The shop had 50% off the cameras, so I decided to get one too!
Laraine's sister in law, Wendy, came down from Queensland whilst we there. It was great to meet Wendy and such a shame we'd not had the chance to see here in Mackay.
We picked the car up after having it's service and left Heathcote, to drive into the city.
Thanks again to John and Laraine for their fantastic hospitality.
