Nestled between mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Vancouver is an awesome place.
We spent 7 days here and loved every minute. Once we'd got over the jetlag and got our bearings, we began exploring......
First of all, we went up the Vancouver Lookout at the Harbour Centre. A height of 581 feet, it gives you 360 degree views of Vancouver and beyond.
After that, we headed over to North Vancouver and up to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. 450 feet across and 230 feet above Capilano River, this does test the old nerves!
There's also a number of trails around the park and loads of info about the history of the bridge.
Over the weekend, we mostly spent chilling out around Stanley Park and Jericho Beach.
On the Monday, we ventured up the 3,700 feet Grouse Mountain.... by cable car of course! Although, you can actually walk up and take the cable car back down. We politely declined!
Joo suffered from the high altitude up there and so, we had to come back down after about 10 minutes!
Tuesday, we checked out of the hostel and headed to the bus depot for the coach up to Whistler.
More about Whistler soon......
Until next time, look after yourself and each other.
