We're getting there!

After spending almost 2 hours in STA Travel and seriously testing the patience of the staff, we've finally booked our tickets.


We opted for the World Discovery ticket, which gives us 29,000 miles and 7 stops. Travelling with Qantas, British Airways, Australian Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Air Pacific, this gives us the best option for travel round Australasia.

We're travelling most of the US and Canada by train with Amtrak and Via Rail.

Also, got kitted out with our rucksacks. The Karrimor Global Explorer, which can take up to 90 litres of stuff. Might sound a lot, but that's all we have for 12 months!It was the dearest rucksack (£150) in the shop, but well worth it. The quality of it is outstanding and I would seriously reccommend anyone looking for a rucksack to choose this one.

We've already test drove it on a trip down to London and it took a real beating on the tube!
