Kuala Lumpur :: Thursday, March 03, 2005 - 10:48 AM (GMT)

Malaysia

KL [ Saturday 29th January - Wednesday 9th January (on and off) ]

It's only a couple of hours from Melaka up to Kuala Lumpur and the coaches are extremely comfortable, so it was a breeze.
It wasn't a breeze explaining to our taxi driver where we were staying though.
We were staying on Tengkat Tong Shin, which is just off Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang - bit of a mouthful, eh?!

We'd not managed to get to an ATM and arrived in KL with hardly any Malaysian money, but still had a fair amount of Singapore dollars.
The taxi driver luckily accepted our Singapore dollars, although he was making a few quid out of it.
The guesthouse, Green Man pub and the tapas at La Bodega was delicious.

We got some pretty cheap plane tickets with Air Asia and decided to fly to Kuching in Borneo for a couple of days. Using KL as a base, we also headed up to the Cameron Highlands too.

Stories and pictures from those two trips will follow.

Jalan Pudu, KL at rush hour. Actually, every hour in KL is rush hour!
